Guwahati, 16th Nov 2023 : Vivanta Guwahati – IHCL’s first foray in North East , is pleased to introduce in-house bottling plant . With this the hotel reinforces its commitment towards sustainable business practices by replacing all plastic water bottles with reusable glass water bottles, bottled with treated water. It will avoid the use of 6 lakh plastic bottles per year.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jayanta Das – Area Director and General Manager Vivanta Guwahati , said, “In line with the vision of IHCL’s ESG+ framework of Paathya, we are committed to zero single use plastics .Vivanta Guwahati has yet again set a benchmark in transitioning to a more sustainable Assam ”
Having successfully implemented sustainability measures to minimize carbon footprint, the hotel is also accelerating its efforts towards water conservation and waste reduction by efficiently treating and using water, reducing waste generation, and promoting recycling and reuse Other sustainable measures include EV charging stations, use of low flow aerators for taps and showers, using treated water for horticulture and flushing and the use of LED light energy-efficient motors .
